Hello, my name is Matthew Giglio. I am currently a sophomore at Canton High School in Canton, Massachusetts. I have been selected along with a group of other students at Canton High School to attend a Leadership Conference in Europe in July 2020. We will be joining teachers and students from around the world in Davos, Switzerland for a leadership conference on The Impact of Sports & Wellness and everything impacting it today.
Our group of Canton students is looking to make a difference in the community and fundraise to offset some of the cost of the trip for our entire group. We decided to create a trip sustainability committee and raise awareness of some of the sustainability efforts in our community here in Canton. We have teamed up with The eWaste Coalition for an eWaste Recycling Drive.
Our Goal is to recycle and help divert as many pounds of potentially hazardous materials from ending up in our local landfill as possible.
A listing of all accepted e-waste items include: personal computers, cell phones, cords, flat screen monitors, flat screen televisions, small home appliances and most other electronics. The full list of acceptable electronics is listed on the E Waste Coalition website.
Will you help us meet our goal to provide these wonderful students with worthwhile activities by supporting our students? Your firm’s participation will have a dramatic impact on the lives of our students and our local Canton community.
Thank you for your time.

How Does The Pledge Work?
There are two different ways that you can make your pledge. You can choose to donate either an amount per pound of eWaste collected or a flat rate.
Pledge per Pound
When you pledge a per pound rate, the total number of pounds will be calculated at the end of the drive and then you will be charged for the weight x your pledge amount.
If we collect 4,875 pounds of eWaste and you pledge $0.01/lb you will be charged 4875 x $0.01 for a total of $48.75.
When making your pledge, you can choose to set an upper limit on the amount pledged so your donation will not exceed that amount.
Standard Flat-Rate Pledge
The second way to make a pledge is to simply choose a flat rate and you will only be charged for that dollar amount.
NOTE: If you are making a pledge on a per pound basis, please remember to check off the box to save your credit card info so we have it on file when the pledge is over. Thank you!
